Hidden 2011 (7 March – 8 May) is the third annual exhibition held at Rookwood Cemetery, Sydney, one of the oldest and largest cemeteries in Australia. This year the Rookwood Sculpture Walk will be joined by a new media installation in the All Souls Chapel.
Messages by Jennifer Teo and Shannon O’Neill is an immersive site-specific sound installation that plays recordings of deceased loved ones, from sources such as answering machines and home movies. Recordings of the artists’ own deceased parents will be included in the artwork.
You are invited to contribute your own recordings of deceased loved ones, to be included in the work.

If you have a recording that you would like to contribute, please email us the following information:
- Your name and contact details
- Brief description of the recording, including the name of the person featured in the recording and your relationship to the person
- Audio recording(s) – 2 minutes or less duration. Any file format but as high quality as possible. If you have any technical queries please email us to discus options.

Hello.
i met you at Hidden last weeken and am just sending an email to sayI loved your work – it was one of my favourite in the show and that wasn’t just becuase I could enjoy yours without rain and drench. I loved the concept and the integration of your work into the chapel the placement created the sense of memorial and also triggered the connection to my own salvaged recording of my deceased father. I haven’t located it yet, but i would be happy to try to find it and contibute to future works.
